Meet our Talented Keyboard World Crew
Greg Poltrock, a Grand Rapids native, has been musically active from an early age. His studies in piano, orchestral percussion, and music technology have led to a wide variety of music professions including performances with theater productions, the Grand Rapids Symphony, and as keyboardist with Fair Haven Ministries. Greg also freelances as a studio musician, wedding ceremony pianist, and as one third of the classic rock band Livin’ the Dream. In addition, he has been an adjunct faculty member at GVSU and has travelled as far as Japan to study piano culture and manufacturing. Greg has been in the music retail industry since 1983 and was one of the first people in Michigan to MIDI two synthesizers together!
Katy Couch and her family relocated to the Grand Rapids area a few years ago after teaching K-12 music for over 25 years in Genesee County. Her experience as a vocal music teacher, performer and piano teacher has given her a great foundation on which to build her expertise on traditional acoustic and digital pianos as well as keyboards. “Matching the correct piano or keyboard to a person’s needs as a musician is probably the most important part of my job here at Keyboard World.
Joni Snyder-Zieger started Keyboard World in 1975, opening a small organ store on Division Avenue. Her customer dedication and passion for music gained her the coveted Yamaha Piano franchise a few years later. The Keyboard World company has become a local household name due, in part, to Joni’s reputation for customer appreciation and service. She can also play just about any gospel song you can name!
